GENRE: DYSTOPIAN / PARANORMAL ANTHOLOGY
After the Vampires took over Earth in the great paranormal war, Humans have become second-class citizens – working as slaves, in brothels, as entertainers, or blood donors.
In the heart of Paris. once known as the most romantic city on earth, humans have gone into hiding, gathering into groups and fighting back against the blood-sucking demons.
Although, some have betrayed their friends to cozy up to the vampires and be in with a chance to turn into one themselves.
The world is divided and Vampires are on top – and there’s only one rule – You can’t fall in love with a human.
SURVIVING PARIS by AJ Renee
Our bodies inches apart, I stare at him. He’s handsome and bears a jagged scar along his neck that I’ve seen before on the dead.
He lowers his shirt’s neckline, and I see how far it goes down. “A parting gift,” he whispers.
“Jean?” Hank asks, stepping to our sides.
I’m left wanting to hit the man for interrupting this private conversation. Jean’s eyes harden before they break from mine.
“She’s right. I’ve told you this.” Jean takes a small step and my chest fills. In front of this large gathering, he has essentially picked me over their leader.
Hank’s nose flares. “Who are you?” he asks me.
Jean smirks and meets my eyes. I can see he’s waiting for me to say it.
“You can call me Sage.”
“Le marchand de la mort?” a few whisper in the group.
