Sweet and Sinful Saturday Reads…

Since we were driving cross country I downloaded a couple of audio books. I was able to finish this one and it was GREAT! Today’s book recommendation is Cree by HJ Bellus. If you’re an audio book lover I enjoyed this one. The story flowed well and kept me engaged.

Whose parents abandon them in a trashy trailer when they are five years old? Oh Yeah! Mine do!

Hey Hoochies! I’m Milly, and I am tired of taking kicks to the gut. A broken family, an asshole husband and the loss of loved ones have left me crying Uncle, and declaring a serious case of the Fuck-Its!

I had my heart broken, stomped on and shattered before I ever started on my journey to find my little piece of happiness. With a bucket list, a ’66 Ford and wild dreams, I set out on an adventure that changed my life forever.

I found Cree…

A pirate with a little princess and they swept me off my ever lovin’ feet, filling my world with sprinkles, mac n’ cheese and the courage to live again.

They forced my fragile heart to trust and love without fear.

But the truth is, nobody’s past stays hidden forever. It’s an invisible monster waiting to attack and destroy. It has the capability to ruin everything you’ve worked to set right.

All it takes is one final blow to the gut to end everything…

Sweet and Sinful Saturday Reads…

Welcome back! Today’s recommendation goes to Royal Atlas by HJ Bellus. Seriously, it’s going to make you laugh and cry. By cry, I really mean big fat ugly tears, but holy hell it’s worth it. Such a great read! I read Gravity first and it didn’t take anything away from the story either. I’ll be moving on to The Traveller next.  Happy reading! Don’t forget to tell me what you thought!  – AJ

royal atlasLove struck me at the early age of five. The boy turned into a man, and I fell even deeper. Guy Webb had no idea my fragile heart belonged to him for so many years. He was too busy being my brother’s best friend and a star on the football field. He was my daydream, and consumed every single thought, but he was always one step from my reach.

Beartooth Ranch was our home. The rich ranch land raised us, fostered our laughs, losses, and even gained a new family member when Guy moved in for his sophomore year of high school.

I hid my love for years. But now he’s back. Guy Webb returned a broken soldier after serving his country all over the atlas. And now it’s my job to help him heal.

My family lost everything with his return and I can only hope I survive it.
