Sweet and Sinful Saturday Reads…

I had this novel for quite some time and I’ll admit the non-HEA ending kept holding me back. I’m mad at myself for waiting to read it though. It was such a great story!

I didn’t expect the BDSM side of it all, but I found it really well written. Shannon Youngblood does a great job pulling you into this story. It’s a beautiful story that includes some hardship but the characters grow in a great way.

In a couple of spots there were a couple of simple typos like i vs I that I hope can be fixed for future readers.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and this book reminds us of that. I love the message of self-love. You don’t have to be a certain size to have body image issues and this message can help many.

Since we were driving cross country I downloaded a couple of audio books. I was able to finish this one and it was GREAT! Today’s book recommendation is Cree by HJ Bellus. If you’re an audio book lover I enjoyed this one. The story flowed well and kept me engaged.

Sweet and Sinful Saturday Reads…

This weeks Sweet and Sinful Saturday Read goes to a book written by a woman whom I had not even heard of (*gasp*) until #RT16. Now I am kicking my ass for not knowing who I was talking to and jumping all over her work. Who might you ask was this? None other than the wonderful A.L. Jackson.

Since meeting her I have read A Stone in the Sea. What a wonderful story! I need to get back to that series! I will admit I haven’t read past that one, mainly because I have so many books in line.

I recommend that you not ONLY read this novel, but clear your schedule because if the rest are like the first you are going to want to binge read these. I’ll probably reread this one before diving into the others. We ALL love refreshing ourselves with awesome story-lines and this one is not an exception. Don’t forget to come back and tell me what you thought!

Hey! I hope you’ve been getting in some reading time. Maybe on the beach or pool. Hell, maybe you’re hidden in a pantry as you escape your kids during summer break. No judgement here. Let me get to today’s recommendation…

The Incidental Affair by K.S. Marshall was a great debut novel. I’m looking forward to reading her latest release, Losing Her. I’ll admit that I had moments where I wanted to reach into my tablet and shake the characters around. To me this is a sign of great writing. The story flowed and had me engaged. Make sure to give her a shot.

Welcome back! Today’s recommendation goes to Royal Atlas by HJ Bellus. Seriously, it’s going to make you laugh and cry. By cry, I really mean big fat ugly tears, but holy hell it’s worth it. Such a great read! I read Gravity first and it didn’t take anything away from the story either. I’ll be moving on to The Traveller next.  Happy reading! Sweet and Sinful Saturday Reads…

Yay! Another weekend! Today’s Sweet and Sinful Saturday Reads goes to Julie Garwood’s Shadow Dance. So many readers and friends always ask who my favorite author is and hands down Julie Garwood is at the top of that list.

When I first started reading for fun I was encouraged to read her work. Shadow Dance is one of the contemporary romance novels that follows the Buchanan family. There are no words for my love of this story line.

Brother’s best friend. Suspense. Stubborn strong female.

It’s easily my favorite of the series of books that delve into the Buchanan family. If you want to start this series from the beginning pick up Heartbreaker. You’ll get your first glimpse into Noah, the hero in this novel in that story. Although, you could read it without the other.

Are you willing to push your reading boundaries? Feeling Hot was the first of Elle Kennedy’s books I read and it is definitely a SINFUL read. I had never, EVER, read a book that involved a threesome prior to this story. I found myself not only enjoying Cash and Jen’s story, but looking into the rest of the man-whores…er… I mean Seals. LOL! Today’s Sweet and Sinful Saturday Read is Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley. It’s the first novel in her Dream Man series. A friend recommended this novel a few years ago. After reading it I proceeded to binge read the series and jump to the Rock Chick series and later the Chaos series.

While drinking cosmopolitans in a fabulous little black dress, Gwendolyn Kidd meets the man of her dreams. Then she takes him home. Then she wakes up alone. But her fear that she lost her dream man turns into a relationship with a mystery man when, night after night in the dead of night, he comes back for more. Hoping it will blossom into something real, she lets him.

But she doesn’t even know his name.

Gwen’s struggling with the decision to end their crazy non-relationship when her sister-from-hell, Ginger’s best friend pays a visit and warns Gwen that if she and her sister don’t get smart, they’ll both get d-e-a-d, dead. Gwen has no clue what’s going on but she’s used to Ginger’s antics and decides to lay the problem on her sister’s biker boyfriend’s doorstep. Bad choice. Sweet & Sinful Saturday Reads…

Back for another book recommendation? Well I have one for you! Have you taken Carina Adam’s for a spin yet? I recommend you start with Forever Red from her ‘Bama boys series. I really enjoyed this series and am patiently waiting for the next one in the series to release. There are two novels plus a prequel in this series right now.
