COVER REVEAL FOR CARINA ADAMS UNFINISHED BUSINESS!!!

Title: Unfinished Business
Series: Bastards of Boston Novel
Author: Carina Adams
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: July 26, 2017

The Bastards of Boston live in a world most don’t understand. They follow their own rules, only accountable to each other, the innocents they protect, and the people they couldn’t save.

As president of the Bastards MC, Robert Doyle is the man behind it all. It’s his responsibility to keep his club safe, to be the smartest man in the room, and be ten steps ahead of everyone. He’d give everything he had, and sell his soul to the devil, to protect the ones he loves.

Until Rocker comes face-to-face with the pain he thought he’d buried. Old wounds are ripped open. Revenge consumes him. Once again he’s the teenager desperate to avenge his daughter’s murder and nothing else matters.

He calls me his angel, but the halo I wear caught fire a long time ago. There is no line I won’t cross, no law I won’t break. I’ll do whatever it takes to save him. If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, I’ll happily burn.

When past and present collide, we’re in for one hell of a bumpy ride.

I felt my eyes widen. In my mind she was still just a girl, short and straight, all gangly arms and awkward movements that come with being a young teen. Somewhere over the last few years, she’d grown up.

I hesitated for a brief moment, stunned. This woman was nothing but trouble; tall, athletic, and beautiful enough to make even me notice her. For a moment I stared into her eyes, completely blown away. If I hadn’t known better, I would have sworn there was relief in those depths. Something I’d thought I’d lost stirred in my gut.
“Don’t touch me!” She sneered, trying to get free as I caught her and gripped her shoulders tightly. When she couldn’t break the hold, she glanced over my shoulder, her panic clear. “Where’s Matty?”

“Not here.”
“Let go!” She shoved at me again. “I need Matt, not you.”
“You’re in my club, little girl.” I growled back, pushing back anything but the irritation that my stress free night had gone to shit so quickly. “If you didn’t want to see me, you should have stayed in that cushy little apartment I pay out the ass for.”

Blue eyes narrowed as she tipped her head back and looked at me. Seeing my shiner, she raised an eyebrow, her nose wrinkled in disgust. “Someone finally gave you the beating you deserved? Sorry I wasn’t here for that.”

The strong scent of alcohol on her breath made me clench my fists. She winced as my fingers dug into her flesh, and it took every ounce of self restraint I had to loosen my grip. I took a deep breath and tried to control my rage. “You’ve been drinking.” It wasn’t a question.
Her eyes narrowed in crystal clear hatred as she jerked her head back. “Go to hell.”

“Already been there, Brat. Fought my way out. I’m still here. Explain to me why you are.”
“I told Tonka Truck,” she sent Tank’s back a seething look, “I’m here for Matty. I meant it.” Her hands planted themselves on my chest. “Get the fuck away from me before I start to scream and these guys,” she leaned her head toward the table, “give you another black eye.”
I laughed humorlessly at that.

The stupid little girl was fucking clueless. She could scream all she wanted here and not one of the brothers us would step in to help her. She wasn’t at some college frat party where a good Samaritan was waiting to rescue the pretty damsel in distress. Tank and I were the closest things in this room, and if we were the ones causing the scene, everyone else would sit back, drink and watch.

“Let’s go!” I snapped.

Cris shook her head. “I’m not leaving. Not without…”
“Now!” I yelled, cutting off her words.
Her jaw set. “Fuck off. I’m not leaving.”
I’d had enough of her attitude and manipulation to last a lifetime. I wasn’t about to cause an even bigger scene with the drama queen in front of me, risk the chance that someone would figure out she was worth something. Her brother could deal with her shit. I was done.

If Matt had been here, I would have stepped aside and let him handle her. Since he wasn’t, she was my responsibility. Fucking bullshit best friend code. But, I knew he’d do it for me.
I did the only thing I could. I grabbed her, threw her over my shoulder, and strode out of the club.

When fists starting pounding into my lower back, and she started demanding I put her down, my hand itched with the need to spank the jean covered ass on my shoulder. As we made our way outside, I hoped the anger and hatred coursing through my veins was clear on my face. If any patched member stepped in, I’d have no place to argue – I wasn’t their equal yet, I was still a guest in their club.
A few brothers nodded my way, amusement clear, as I headed for the door, but no one tried to stop me. Thank Jesus. I wasn’t sure what I would have done if they had. Probably something dangerous and definitely something stupid.
Once the brat realized that she couldn’t fight her way down, she did the only thing an immature child like her would – she tried to pants me. I knew when she was quiet for a moment too long that she was up to something. I thought she was going to give it one final push and try to break free, but when her hands moved to my back pockets, and she gave the denim one solid yank, I almost laughed.
Instead, I yanked on my waistband, barely keeping it around my hips, and gave her thigh a warning squeeze with my free hand. The whole city could see my blue Fruit of the Loom’s, and I still wouldn’t put her down until I’d safely deposited her ass in my truck.

When she gave them another push, I snapped. “Cut the shit Cris.”

“Fuck off.”
Such a polite and sweet little girl my best friend’s baby sister was.
An avid reader who loves epic and unconventional romance, Carina has an unhealthy obsession with Jason Statham, loves the sounds of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, is the crazy friend your mom warned you about, and believes one day she will go through the stones to meet Jamie Fraser.

Carina has been writing and creating characters for as long as she can remember, allowing her to fall in love with the next man of her dreams with every new story.

None of which are anything like boring Prince Charming.

Thankfully, fate stepped in and granted her the ultimate wish – a life full of men. Carina lives in a picturesque New England town with her husband, the man who ruined the thought of all others, and two amazing sons who always keep her on her toes.

Sweet & Sinful Saturday Reads…

Back for another book recommendation? Well I have one for you! Have you taken Carina Adam’s for a spin yet? I recommend you start with Forever Red from her ‘Bama boys series. I really enjoyed this series and am patiently waiting for the next one in the series to release. There are two novels plus a prequel in this series right now.

forever redNot afraid to speak his mind or make a scene, Nathaniel Kelly has made a name for himself as country music’s ultimate bad boy.
Covered in tattoos, singing songs about drugs, drinking and heartache, Nate acts more like an out of control rock star than the grandson of one of the genres most influential and legendary stars. Every man wants to be him. Every woman wants just one night with the hard-rocking country rebel.
Except me.
I just want to know that the boy I used to love is happy and that I didn’t break his heart in vain. That’s why I buy every magazine that even mentions his name; at least, that’s the story I tell myself.
When my friends gave me a birthday present any fan would die for, I was suddenly face-to-face with the man I never thought I’d see again. My body wasn’t supposed to react to him the way it did. And, Nate sure as hell wasn’t supposed to look at me the way he used to.
Can someone you loved as a teenager really have a hold on your heart twelve years later? Is it ever too late to say you’re sorry and make up for past wrongs?
I’m about to find out.

Introducing Carina Adams…

There are some amazing writers out there. I have yet to get a taste of each one. As I find ones I enjoy I want to share them with you.

Let me introduce to you the lovely Carina Adams. I had the pleasure of meeting her at the 2016 RT Booklovers Convention here in Las Vegas. I thought it would be fun to interview Carina so we could all get a little glimpse into her mind.

AJ: Thank you, Carina, for taking a moment from your busy life to do this!
Carina: I am beyond honored that you asked me!
AJ: Okay let’s get started so we can get back to feeding these greedy book loving readers. 😉 What are 5 songs you are listening to right now?

Carina: 5 Songs I am currently hooked on – I listen to music while I write to get emotionally invested in a scene, so some of the songs I listen to, I listen to on repeat – all day. lol
1) i hate u, i love u – gnash and Olivia O’Brien
2) Unsteady – X Ambassadors
3) Make You Miss Me – Sam Hunt
4) I’ll Be The Moon and It’s Different For Girls – Dierks Bentley (I know it’s two, but I can’t pick between them)
5) Forever Country – Artists of Then, Now and Forever

AJ: Tell me a little about your current project.

Carina: My current project is a prequel to Forever Red. It’s a student/teacher romance that gives the background to Lia and why she behaves the way she does. Everyone was worried when I first started writing it, because Lia is the main character in Red and belongs with Nate (also from Red). Yet, we needed to know what happened. I love this book. It’s sweet and heartwarming, and about two characters who love each other even though they shouldn’t.

AJ: The year is almost over. What do you want to get done or do before 2017 is here?

Carina: I can’t believe 2016 is almost over! I want to finish Blurry, the Forever Red Prequel, and get a good start on my next book. Keep your fingers crossed.

AJ: Every writer is first and foremost a reader. What are some of your favorite books?

Carina: Every writer is a reader first! 🙂 My favorite book, a story I reread every year, is Outlander. I cannot explain how much I love that book. For 2016, though, Paper Princess has got to be my all time favorite. It is a MUST read series. Watch Me, by Ada Frost is a fantastic read as well. And, if you like taboo, Balance, by Lucia Franco, is something you cannot miss.

AJ: Who is your favorite book boyfriend out of your babies?

Carina: My favorite book boyfriend, out of all of my babies, has to be Noah. He’s a secondary character in Forever Red, but will have his own book as soon as he starts to talk to me. I love him. He makes me laugh and breaks my heart all at once.

AJ: Who is your all time book boyfriend?

Carina: James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser will always be my ultimate book boyfriend. If I could go through the standing stones and meet Jamie, and know that he was going to fall in love with me, I would do it. Well, at least, I would have before I had kids.

AJ: What TV show are you hooked on?

Carina: I don’t watch much TV. Right now, I’m loving This Is Us. However, I’m a HUGE fan of The 100. I cannot wait for it to come back.

AJ: You have a husband and kids. How do you juggle the writing into your day? I know I struggle to get work done some days with my girls.

Carina: Juggling writing with everything else is hard. There are days where I kill it as a writer and other days where I kill it as a mom. I’m quite sure I have never had a day where I have succeeded at both. It is a balancing act. The days I write I need to focus and work. But, the days with my boys need to be their day where I give them all of my attention. I’m still working on figuring it all out.

AJ: What was your favorite book as a kid? Do your boys have a favorite series?

Carina: My favorite book as a child was Mother, Mother, I Want Another. I’m not sure why. I just loved it. When I got older, it was Anne of Green Gables. My boys both love to read, no matter what it is. The littlest loves the Bernstein Bears, but right now we’re reading a collection of Maine stories he has. His favorite is Antlers Forever! about a little moose. It’s cute. My oldest always has a book in his hand. He’s reading the Imaginary Veterinarian series to his brother right now.

***

Full disclosure… I have read, FOREVER RED, OUT OF THE BLUE, LAY IT DOWN, and ALMOST INNOCENT. I loved them all! HOT FOR TEACHER and A SECRET AFFAIR are now available for $0.99. I plan to hit those up soon as well.

Thanks again, Carina for stopping by!

What are you reading?

I’m in between writing so this is the time I try to catch up on novels I’ve been collecting along the way. I just finished Carina AdamsLay it Down and I started R.L. Mathewson’sFated. I’m hoping I can read Danica WintersSmoke and Ashes next.

Ever since I started Widower’s Aura my to be read list has become longer and longer. I don’t know if I’ll ever catch up. There are so many fantastic stories out there waiting to be read. I’m behind on quite a few series. As I type this I’m remembering that I left off in the middle of Bella Andre’s Sullivan’s series. I’m dying to read Sophie and Jake’s story in, I only have eyes for you.

The problem I’m having is that Jessie and Jamie Lynn’s story, the third novel in my St. Fleur series, is itching to be told.

I don’t like to read when I’m writing. I don’t want anything to influence me unconsciously and the flow to the story to change. Could you imagine reading a book and the character gets a split personality all of a sudden? That would make me crazy as a reader!

Reading is my drug of choice. Prior to writing Widower’s Aura I could read 5-7 romance novels in a week, easily. The amount I’ve read since then has been reduced dramatically. I don’t regret it though because the joy I’ve received from my little town of St. Fleur is indescribable.

So I ask you, what are you reading? Leave me a comment and share with us what author has you in their web.
